What happens to my license plate at the end of the lease contract or when terminating it?

If you return the speed bike:

No further action is required from you regarding the license plate.

If you take over the speed bike:

The license plate is registered in our name and therefore needs to be de-registered. As long as this hasn’t been done, you won’t be able to request a new license plate in your own name.

Important: when your lease contract ends, all related services, including the insurance, also stop. This means you are not allowed to ride the speed bike until you have your own license plate!

  1. Send the official license plate by registered mail to DIV BRUSSELS (Rue du Progrèst 56, 1210 Brussels). This way, you can use the tracking number to check whether it has been received.
    • You can check whether the plate has been de-registered by DIV using this link, as we no longer receive a de-registration certificate.
  2. We will send you the registration certificate part II by registered mail (only after we have received both the proof of registered mailing and the takeover payment).
  3. Take the registration certificate (both parts) to your insurance broker, who will:
    • give you an original pink application form to fill in and sign;

    • register the speed bike via their web application.

After that, your new license plate and registration documents will be sent to you. For further questions about the procedure, please contact your insurance broker.
