Bike leasing for
the public sector

Do you work for a city, local authority, municipality or other public sector organisation? If so, you too can lease your dream bike through your employer. Depending on the scheme in place within your organisation, you can exchange part of your gross end-of-year bonus, holiday entitlement or another available budget. You choose the bike, and we’ll help you alongside your journey! 

Things to know before you set off

Do you work for a public authority? If so, the process for getting a lease bike is governed by your organisation’s arrangements. Your authority decides what budget you can use, when you can join the scheme and what conditions apply.

Your organisation will kick things off

You can join the scheme as soon as your city, municipality, county or government organisation starts offering bike leasing. Your HR department will let you know when you can start.

You choose which budget to include

Depending on the scheme, you might, for example, allocate part of your gross end-of-year bonus, holiday entitlement or another available budget.

Each organisation sets its own course

Start dates, budgets and terms and conditions may vary. It is up to your organisation to decide exactly what the bike lease scheme will look like.

Your lease bike takes you to work too

To benefit from the tax relief, you must use your bike regularly for at least part of your journey to and from work. Of course, you’re also allowed to use it for personal trips.

Will anything change along the way?

The arrangements are also set out in advance in the event of a change of role, long-term absence or termination of employment. Your board will explain what this means for your lease contract.

Pop into a local bike shop and get a quote, including accessories. Upload it to My.Cyclis, choose your maintenance budget, and we’ll take care of the rest.

You approuve, we order

Once you and your employer have given the green light, we’ll order your bike from your dealer. After that, it’s mostly just a bit of patience. We know, not the most exciting part.

Bike ready? Pick it up and go!

We’ll let you know when your bike is ready for collection in the local shop you’ve chosen. You pick it up, your lease contract begins, and you’re ready to clock up your first kilometres.
