Belfius steps into Cyclis, pioneer in bike leasing.

The unique partnership between Cyclis and Belfius Lease to enter the mobility market together is above all a strategic decision. Both parties, each with their own expertise, are pushing hard for the sustainable mobility of today and tomorrow, in order to jointly reduce CO2 emissions in our country. Moreover, employers and employees of the future today need a wide range of mobility solutions. In this area, Cyclis and Belfius complement each other perfectly. Over the past year, the demand for company bicycles continued to increase, as did the demand from companies for complete and simple customized mobility solutions. With “Mobility as a Service,” employees can choose from a wide range of solutions depending on their needs: bicycle, car, train and/or bus passes. Cyclis and Belfius are the ideal match to fully meet these needs. In 2020, the parties will concretely join forces to guarantee a bicycle offer that meets the mobility challenges of companies and allows employees to move efficiently and without worry. This strategic partnership was ratified by a significant minority stake of Belfius in the capital of Cyclis. Belfius will also be represented on the board of directors of Cyclis.
