What about the warranty?
For new leased bikes, the statutory warranty period (factory warranty) is 2 years, but for lease contracts starting from 01/01/2022, we add an extra year of warranty. This means you are covered for the entire 3-year lease period.
For circular lease bikes (second-hand bikes), you receive a 1-year warranty from the bike dealer. The additional one-year warranty from Cyclis Bike Lease does not apply in this case.
The warranty applies to non-wear parts, provided the bike is used correctly and the defect is not caused by (fall) damage. Wear-sensitive components (e.g., tyres, brake pads, chain) or defects/damage caused by improper use are not covered under warranty.
Repairs covered by the manufacturer’s warranty are handled via the original bike dealer and the manufacturer.
Have you since changed bike dealers? Then it’s good to know that it’s still best to return to your original dealer for warranty-covered repairs. Some brands and dealers also cover labour costs, while others limit the warranty to parts only. If you still choose to have the repair done by another dealer, labour costs will be charged.
Repairs under the Cyclis Bike Lease warranty (3rd-year warranty, only for new leased bikes) must first be submitted to us for approval. The general terms and conditions can always be requested via the contact details below.
