What should I do in the event of a claim?
Notify us immediately. You can do so through My.Cyclis, at insurance@cyclis.be or by phone at +32 11 730 115 – option 2.
Also, go to your local bike store and ask for an estimate of repair costs and photos of the damaged parts. Make sure your bike’s frame number is on the specifications. You or the bike dealer provides us with this data via the tool. Once the insurer approves, the dealer may repair the bicycle.
If a third party is involved, you must have a police report drawn up or fill out the European Collision Form. You can use the same form as for the car. Both the PV and the collision form should always include your bike’s frame number.
There is always a fixed exemption of €25 that we deduct from your remaining maintenance budget or bill to you if you don’t have a maintenance budget (anymore). This is independent of being at fault or not when a third party is involved.
